Full Efficient Planet Review
Hi, my name is George Duncan and I want to thank you for visiting EfficientPlanet.ca and reading my
review of Efficient Planet.
I've been blogging about renewable energy in the home and, specifically, the topic of
residential wind power since August of 2007. Looking back, I'm really amazed at how attainable renewable
energy has become for the average person!
When I started researching the subject, the industry was definitely
still in it's infancy. There was a great deal of interest from the general public in becoming more
environmentally conscious and the idea of renewable energy made a lot of sense to most people, but the
costs involved were just to high. The industry struggled to gain momentum.
About a year later, in the summer of 2008, people were finally provided with a practical
solution: DIY renewable energy. With the cost of fuel at an all-time high, that was all the incentive that
was needed ... people decided to take action to reduce their electricity bills and do their part to
save the planet ... and now you can too!
Here's what you get with Efficient Planet.
Book One: Converting Your Home To Solar Power is the largest of
the three books and the bulk of the material is a step-by-step guide for building your own solar panels. The
book is 71 pages long and excels in the additional information it provides. Additional topics not covered
(or at least not covered in as much detail) in other books include: solar roofing, solar thermal heating and
more detailed safety and maintenance information.
Book Two: How To Utilize Wind Power, at 51 pages, is another
very informative resource. It covers the topic of how useful wind power is and then follows up with
descriptions of different types of wind systems and the components that are required for these systems. As
with Book One, the majority of the content revolves around the detailed instructions for building a wind
turbine. The final chapter is a very useful section addressing 10 myths of wind power by highlighting the
facts.
Book Three: Efficent Living Every Day in Every Way is what
makes this product unique. In addition to all of the other great information on solar power
and wind power, you're also given an additional 50 pages of content centered around making other aspects of
your life more efficient. There is one chapter that provides tips on how to make your home more
energy efficient, but other topics covered include fuel efficiency for your car, efficient time management
at work, efficient spending and cost saving techniques when shopping.
Conclusion: - There is a lot of information available freely on the
Internet and in other guides that will explain how to build your own solar panels and how to build your own
wind turbine. The problem is, this information is hardly ever easy to follow, the sources are seldom
comprehensive and the material is never very well written. In these areas Efficient Planet delivers!
- The Efficient Living aspect of Efficient Planet is what truly sets it apart from all other products.
Most people who are drawn to renewable energy share the dual purpose wanting to save money and help the
environment. Efficient Planet takes that mindset and aims to achieve it in all aspects of life.
The result is that even if you don't feel you can build your own solar panels or build a wind turbine,
you will benefit from the great information in the
Efficient Living Series.
- By implementing only a small number of the strategies outlined in Efficient Planet,
these books will easily pay for themselves AND probably put a little extra in your pocket as well!
